Back pain is one of the most common reasons patients walk through our doors. The good news is that small, consistent movement habits can have a big impact on how your back feels each day.
Why daily stretching matters
Tissues respond to load and movement. A few minutes of mobility work each day keeps blood flowing, joints moving, and nervous-system threat levels low.
The five stretches
- Knee-to-chest — relieves lumbar tension
- Child's pose — gentle global stretch
- Cat–cow — segmental spinal mobility
- Glute bridge hold — light activation
- Standing hip flexor — releases anterior tightness
Hold each for 30–45 seconds and repeat twice. Stop if anything sharply increases pain.
