Overview
Laser therapy — also called photobiomodulation — uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to trigger healing responses in damaged tissue. The FDA cleared Class IV laser therapy in 2003. The laser works by creating vasodilation (increased blood supply) to bring oxygen to cells, stimulating ATP production, enhancing lymphatic drainage, and interrupting pain signals. Our FDA-cleared Class IV laser penetrates over 4 inches into deep musculoskeletal tissue. Sessions last 8–20 minutes with no known side effects. Most patients notice significant improvement after 5–10 treatments, and results are long-lasting. Laser therapy is recognised by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).
